Buying a home: Preparation

Hey all,

I have so many clients who don't fully understand how easy buying a home can be (with the right agent of course! hardy har har). Did you know you could own a home for hundreds less than some rentals out there?  Check back in often to learn all the steps to reaching the American dream!

Prepping for the Purchase

Step 1: Getting finances in order. My suggestion is the second you decide to you'd like to buy, contact a lender. Even if you're looking a year out, they can give you an idea of how much to save, what price range to look at, and instruct you to do any credit repair if necessary. Contact me for a list of preferred lenders (a good lender can make all the difference in a transaction- a bad lender can cost you the house).

Step 2: Buyer Preparation Meeting. Not all agents bring a buyer into the office, but that's part of the 5 star service I offer clients. In a meeting I discuss your wants and needs while getting to know you as a person, explain the Real Estate market, teach you the differences in traditional, short sale, and foreclosure homes, explain the home buying process, and lastly, answer any and all questions you may have.

Step 3: Look at your options. After you meet with me you'll now be set up on a personalized internet search to view all homes that fit your individual. This is definitely different than using other search engines, such as Zillow or Trulia. This search is updated by the minute, whereas other internet searches can be weeks behind (in this fast paced market that means a sold home).

Our next step, talking about viewing the goods!
