Hey all,
The Olympics are definitely
fun for the eyes (cough cough
Ryan Lochte), but there is more than what they're showing on tv. We know the athletes eat sleep and breathe their respective sports, but quite literally,
where do they eat sleep and breathe when they're not in the heat of competition?
Why, here of course.
I don't know if I'm the only one to never know this, but Olympic Villages are constructed specifically to house Olympians. In this case, they will be converted into a new section of the East District in London. |
|
When you are an Olympian you need to live like an Olympian. And patios fit these apartments perfectly. |
|
Currently the apartments don't feature kitchens, so this dining hall (geared to serve 60,000 meals a day) is here cooking up cuisine from all over the world. |
|
Need to unwind after a rough day on the podium? Come to the dry-bar which features pool tables, arcade games, and much more. Second place never felt so good.
Why the dry-bar? Not all Olympians are 18 (legal drinking age in London), and heck, some of them are barely old enough to drive. |
|
I don't know about you, but if I was competing against the best athletes in the world, I would need some alone time. And this living room looks just perfect. |
|
In all, the apartments are currently set up similar to dorm living, so voila, twin beds. |
Want to live like an Olympian,
you can! These units will be transitioned into apartments after the games, and the complex will feature restaurants, shopping and the whole bit.
Cheers to the govna!
